Resources for students and parents
Please use the following resources for help learning and practicing second grade material
Spelling City
This is a site where students can practice their weekly spelling words for free. Click the image to the left and it will take you directly to the site. Once you are there, type in my name (Drotar) and select my class. From there you can pick the week we are on and take pretests, practice tests, play free games, and other activities to help practice our spelling words.
ABCYA
This is a site where students can practice different skills in their grade level. There are games geared towards helping students with a wide range of topics, from math facts to word contractions. This is a particular favorite of mine, as students love learning in a play-based climate!
Education.com
This site has more math and ELA games for students to practice math and reading/language arts skills. As mentioned with ABCya, education.com makes reviewing and practicing skills learned in-class even more fun. I would definitely recomment using this site!
SunBridge Schools Website
This is a fantastic resource if you need to get in contact with the school or learn more about our school. You can also access the school calendar from this page as well - just click the image to the left to start exploring!
Education City
We use Education City in class to help enforce concepts learned in our regular routine. It would be helpful at home if they continued this practice with you at home. These are all in game format, so it makes the learning extra fun!
Toledo Lucas County Public Library
